Statement
I like to explore the environment, the marks left on eroded landscapes and the fragility of the earth and the influence of human beings. Some ecological disasters can produce beautiful palettes of colour which paradoxically even appear attractive like on this work inspired from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico

Techniques used
Hand dyed cotton, machine quilted, hand painted.

Materials used
Cotton fabric, batting, acrylic paint.
